SECUR Exam Hints

Be sure you do the following before the exam:

1. Practice configuring IKE Phase 1 step-by-step.
2. Practice configuring a router to use a TACACS+ server for AAA.
3. Know each parameter of IKE phase 1 (D-H, encryption, SA lifetime, etc.).
4. Remember the older “service” commands to disable services.
5. Remember that you access a CiscoWorks server from your web browser via http://127.0.0.1:1741.
6. Download and review Using Management Center for VPN Routers 1.3 from the Cisco website.
7. Here is a sample of the files and configurations used to install the security device manager (SDM):
   copy tftp://172.26.26.50/sdm.tar flash:
   and
   copy tftp://172.26.26.50/sdm.shtml flash:
8. You enable the Cisco Web secure browser user interface using the ip http secure-server command.
9. You can launch a secure SDM session with the following command:
   https://10.1.1.2/flash/sdm.shtm.
10. The SDM can only manage a single device at a time.
11. Click “Finish” in the SDM to apply a change to the router configuration.l
